Podcast in Review

We started off the P’cast with a look at mock-crucifixions, stigmata, pilgrimages and various ways in which Catholics make themselves suffer during the Easter season. From there it was only logical that we swift the conversation to Mermaids: how they are employed in recovering stolen cars and the ancient legends. It’s be reported that a woman from Harare, Zimbabwe testified that she paid $5,000 to a popular local musician to fly four invisible mermaids from London to Harare to help her recover a stolen car and cash.

Recently a woman in San Jose, CA found a fully cooked finger in her bowl of Wendy's Chili . Why not discuss all the many fast food urban legends: the reason why Kentucky Fried Chicken had to change its name to KFC and the famous McDonald's uses mashed-up worms in its patties to save money.

There’s more on the tale of the Watermelon Baby, the possible origins of the Yeti , the Black Cats of the UK are back, and a time traveling pioneer from the 1880s was pulled over by police in West Virginia. You can read more about all of these tales on the site.

And, as it is Final Four season, we fill out our brackets on who would win in a game of one-on-one basketball Bigfoot vs. The Jersey Devil, Chupacabra vs. The Everglades Skunk Ape.

Thanks again to all the listeners who’ve submitted their town’s tales!
